Take the Kids to See Santa

As you scurry around with your family’s busy schedule, it's time to make sure your house is decorated for Christmas, inside and out. Don't forget the Christmas/holiday cards, the tree, the Elf (don’t you wish you didn’t?), and the shopping. If that's not enough Christmas for you, then you need the annual photos with Santa.

When I lived in Seattle, we planned an entire day around this monumental experience. The outfits, the location, the props, and the treats. Not only did I get the photo with Santa, I took photos of children leading up to the experience.

In Walla Walla, you have your choice of Santa experiences for the kids.

Olive Marketplace & Café has been a consistent location for Santa sightings on Sundays. So grab a bite or dessert and get photos with Santa from 5-7 p.m. on December 9, 16, and 23.

Visit Community Bank in College Place at 4 p.m., December 14 for Selfies with Santa, or do a little outdoors shopping and see Santa from 1- 6 p.m., December 22 at Sportsman Warehouse.

To add a little adult and child beverage fun, you also have other options. Our new local brewery, Crossbuck Brewing, is hosting Milk Flight with a Pint from 4-7 p.m., December 11. For wine tasting, Skylite Cellars will have Santa from noon-4 p.m. and Goose Ridge will have Santa from 1-4 p.m. on December 8 Both wineries will have treats for the children.

If you want to include your furry friends, visit the Blue Mountain Humane Society from noon-3 p.m. on December 8. They will also be hosting a Holiday Craft Party that day. For an evening option, visit the Milton-Freewater Public Library at 6 p.m., December 19 for their Annual Christmas Party with crafts, treats, and photos with Santa.

So from now until December 23rd you can create a Santa experience in Walla Walla while enjoying the community.
